Our decision to start a blog and an introduction

Miles decided that I should start a blog since I'm not currently working. He wanted to start a "financial" blog. I think that's boring...so here we are. I guess I'll be posting most of the time since, once again, I'm not working.

Miles and I have been married for 7 months. Miles works for a large accounting firm (hence the reason for wanting a financial blog) and I am, hopefully, a soon to be lawyer. Bar results come out in a couple of months. While I'm waiting for bar results, I'm looking for a job...a legal job that is. Much to my dismay, that has been difficult to find. As if we all didn't know there were too many lawyers!

Since I'm not working (have you heard that enough times yet?), Miles LOVES to complain about money. I mean, technically, we should be able to survive easily on one income. However, we live in Southern California. If you haven't already heard, the cost of living here sucks. Add that to the fact that we (well...mostly me) like nice things, and you get the idea. Anyway, we live in a nice 2 bedroom apartment in a nice city about 10 minutes from Santa Monica (without traffic that is). And if you ask me how many miles we are from anywhere...I have NO IDEA. We live in California. We only know how long it takes to get places. We really have no idea of the mileage. We like to eat out, tend to drive anywhere and everywhere and buy organic food (yes we only buy organic...if you only knew our family history of cancer you'd understand).

Well that's it for now. Hopefully somebody reads this and finds our life moderately interesting eventually!
